ChippyJamie is a playful, two-person app for keeping a shared score and the little reasons behind it. It was built as a personal project, not a data business, so there's no advertising model and no interest in your information beyond what's needed to make the app work for the two of you.
This page is written to describe ChippyJamie as accurately as possible. Anywhere the exact technical detail hasn't been independently verified against the app's implementation, that's stated plainly below rather than guessed at, and will be confirmed and updated by the developer.
Information the app processes
ChippyJamie is built around three things: a shared score, the reasons attached to changes in that score, and a history of past activity. Depending on how the app is implemented, this information is kept on your device, synced through a backend service so both people see the same score, or some combination of the two.
Developer confirmation pending. The exact storage and sync mechanism ChippyJamie uses — for example, fully on-device storage, iCloud/CloudKit sync, or a custom backend service — has not been verified against the app's source code or configuration at the time this page was written.

ChippyJamie does not ask you to type in your name, email address, or other identifying personal details to use it.

Inside the app, you and the other person may create:
- a shared score
- reasons or short notes attached to a score change
- a history of previous score activity
This content is personal by nature — it's meant to be seen only by the two people using the app together, not by anyone else, and not by us. Where this content is stored depends on the app's confirmed implementation, as noted above.
Authentication
ChippyJamie sits behind a passcode screen before you can see anything inside the app. This is a simple shared access code between the two of you — not an email-and-password account system, and not a claim of enterprise-grade security. It's there to keep the app from opening by accident, not to protect against a determined attacker.
The passcode itself is never published on this website or anywhere else public. App Store reviewers are given a review passcode separately and privately through App Store Connect.
Analytics and tracking
Nothing in the materials available when this page was written points to third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-app/cross-site tracking SDKs being used in ChippyJamie. ChippyJamie is not designed to show ads.
Developer confirmation pending. This could not be independently verified against the app's full, compiled source tree, so it should be read as "no evidence found" rather than an absolute guarantee. It will be confirmed against the actual build before this policy is treated as final.
Third-party services
ChippyJamie runs on iOS, so Apple's own platform services (such as the App Store and, if used, iCloud) are involved in delivering and running the app, in the same way they are for any iOS app.

We can't yet confirm from this workspace whether ChippyJamie depends on additional third-party infrastructure — for example a cloud database, hosting provider, or push notification service — for keeping the shared score in sync. Data sharing
ChippyJamie does not sell your personal information, and there is no advertising business behind the app. We are not aware of app content being shared with third parties for their own purposes, beyond whatever is strictly necessary to operate the app itself (for example, a backend service that keeps a shared score in sync between two devices, if one is used).
Data retention and deletion
Your score, reasons, and history are kept for as long as you and the other person keep using ChippyJamie. Deleting the app from your device removes anything stored locally on it. If any of your information is also stored outside your device by a backend service, contact us using the details below and we will help delete it.
Children's privacy
ChippyJamie is not directed at children and is not designed to knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and it will be removed.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated occasionally, including as the developer confirms the technical details flagged above. Any changes will be reflected on this page, along with an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
